The IBM InfoPrint 1130 printer using IBM InfoPrint 1130 ink and toner is a laser printer manufactured to be used in a medium or large office group. There are four models of the 1130 printer: Model-001, Model-N01, Model-DN1 and Model-IN1. This printer will improve productivity with rapid print speeds. A total of three optional five hundred sheet drawers and one additional two thousand sheet drawer option can boost input to a total of four thousand one hundred sheets. There is an optional envelope feeder available that can contain a maximum of 85 envelopes.
The output capacity is also more than adequate. There is a standard five hundred sheet output bin. An optional three thousand sheet output bin is available as well.
While this version does not offer edge, saddle, z-fold or side stable finishing, it does have corner staple finishing. You can get duplex functions with the model DN1. The other models can have a duplex option added on, however.
The print output quality is very good. It has a print resolution of 300 dpi by 600 dpi, rendering an impressive 1,200 dots per inch maximum. It delivers a monthly duty cycle of 150,002 sheets, which is very good. However, IBM suggests not printing this maximum monthly duty cycle on a regular basis.
This version has received generally positive reviews on user feedback Internet sites. It appears to be a reliable printer that is easily maintained. This printer is available for purchase on the Internet at reasonable prices. Laser cartridges and driver software are also readily available. There do not appear to be any driver or operating system compatibility issues with the 1130 printer.
