How To Deal With Common Printer Problems
I really don’t think I’m alone in saying that my printer frequently drives me crazy. Most of the problems that happen to my printer seem to be when it is not in use; I really think that the main issue here is that I just don’t use it often enough. Over the last five years I have bought three different printers; these are now just taking up room in my home. I have only had this newest printer for four months now and already it is giving me headaches. I am still getting poor quality pages even though I have just bought brand new ink cartridges. I really can’t keep buying new printers all the time so I looked online for a bit of help.
It seems that one common problem with printers is that the print head gets clogged; this happens when you don’t use the printer too often – like me. To rectify this problem however, it is necessary to follow the instructions for the printer to perform a clean and this is meant to get rid of the dried ink. For those who use Windows, this can be done quite easily through control panel; you then just select printers. You should find the command for a self-clean by clicking on the icon for your printer. Happily this worked for me but only after two attempts.
While I was doing my research on my printer’s problems, I found information about the messages that come up to tell you that your ink is empty. I often get these even after I’ve put in new cartridges; apparently the ink level warning is notoriously unreliable. I have read that there is something that you can do to fix this problem but it seemed far too complicated for me. I am fine with small technical issues but when it comes to anything complicated I prefer to go to the experts – I don’t want to waste any more money on printers.
With the giant strides in home computer technology, many people now have computers at home, and very often they find they need some help dealing with potential issues that arise, like printer help. But these are only a few of the issues and things like network problems also afflict many home users. PC security is another thing that people think about and which may be a cause for concern.
Don’t Think You Are Too Old To Join The Internet Revolution
One of the really great things about the internet is that age really is no barrier. People of all ages are setting up their own websites or blogs and there are even eighty and ninety year olds who spend time online on a regular basis. This type of technology does not exclude anyone and the great thing is that it has given a voice to people who previously were never heard. As long as you can provide entertainment, there is no factor with what age you are as the internet is the ideal equaliser. When Andy Warhol claimed that everyone could be famous for five minutes, he was right especially now.
Of course not every older person feels comfortable with new technology. Many believe that it is going to be difficult to master or they worry about all those viruses and identity theft that they hear about in the media. But for most of us the benefits of using the internet regularly far outweigh any of the potential risks involved; and in actual fact sometimes these risks are exaggerated to extremes. The internet can be used by just about anyone but some people are more difficult to convince than others. But there is a whole new world just waiting there for anyone willing to give it a try.
As more and more senior citizens join the online revolution it is changing the way we think about growing old. We can now see that it is possible to be productive for years longer than we ever imagined. In fact many people are not even discovering their more creative side until they are in their sixties. But once they have discovered it, they can display their talents to the rest of the world on the biggest platform there is – the internet. With age not being a barrier when it comes to the internet, more and more people are finding pleasure with it.
With the giant strides in home computer technology, many people now have computers at home, and very often they find they need some assistance with problems that may arise, such as printer help. And these are not the only issues as network problems also afflict many home users. PC security is another thing that people think about and which may be a cause for concern.
